Ahhh, ‘the inward parts’. The place where God begins our transformation. The place of rebirth and true journey. A place where we begin pleading the blood for mercy and grace to bare the burden of our own responsability. Some call this ‘The Cross’.

A place where we are qualified to stake claims on our heavenly inheritance and press forward to our promise.

A place where we don’t have to bow in slavery, but can stand in assurance that we have been redeemed. That we are worthy and that we are righteous because of Christ Jesus.

Great Gifts that only demand our accountability for our actions, kindness and love to others and a faith that calls the invisible realm of God into tangible substance that can save ones soul.

Are You Facing Your Giants?

Are You Facing Your Giants?

1 Samuel 19:5

"For he took his life in his hand and struck the Philistine

… He risked his life and killed the Philistine Goliath, and the LORD gave all Israel a great victory. When you saw it, you rejoiced. …

I was nine years old, the designated duster of my uncles room. No one else wanted the job because he kept so many small objects and pennies on his dresser. It was a tedious job but could have taken less time, if my imagination hadn’t of been so active.

I would lay and roll around on his king size bed for what seemed like hours… imagining, day dreaming and sometimes counting all those pennies. I had no idea that my Goliath was peeking out of my uncles night stand, drawer.

The book with it’s colorful, comic book-like characters, innocently charmed my curiosity into closer inspection. Aside from the look of total ecstasy and exposed cleavage on the woman’s face, this could have been any other dime store novella, tossed in haphazard fashion.

I opened the cover, turned the page and my mind was gripped by the foreign, four-letter words used to describe body parts and actions that I was completely unfamiliar with.

The women in the novel seemed so happy as the men seemingly gratified and satisfied them, that my nine year old mind became convinced that this must be what love is!

key components that formulated the synapses of relationships were missing from my life, I had no blueprint or frame of reference for what was missing in my life. I just new that I longed for an intimacy that allowed me to feel sheltered, structured, nurtured and fulfilled.

This was the discerning moment when a mothers arms and a lovers arms became indistinctly synonymous.

Within my prepubescent hands where tickets with graphic instructions… Yes tickets to ride the universal roller coaster of promiscuity. A bone-chilling thrill, with highs of ecstasy and swift, long dips of heartache. Always at the end, upon exiting my ride, I could hardly stand or catch my balance. I would shake because what was once so thrilling was over so quickly and even ground was now demanding that I walk normally.

My Giant (in the form of thrilling love) lured me on ride after ride until thrills and crashes became the norm. His weapon of choice was a good-looking man who could lie to me as well as I could lie to myself. I wanted to believe that passionate *** could turn into lasting love, but I was deluding myself. Love stems from self value and when two people come together there has to a mutual appreciation and respect for the essence of one another. Real intimacy lies in the exchange of the lesser for the higher, the ‘me’ for the ‘us’…

Today I have faced my Giant and these revelations have served as my smooth stones. On the battleground there has to be two opponents. One would not exist without the other. Maybe… just maybe David needs to slay as much as Goliath needs to be slain.

Walking in the Wealthy Places

Sunday, February 8th, 2009
Monica Handy/Possessing The Promise asked:

Our cry is for increase, oh God! Please give us increase because our woes are leashed by our burdens in dark places that wont let us loose…

There is a song by Donald Lawrence called Bless Me (The Prayer Of Jabez). One of the lyrics that I stop and belt out is “I want to walk in your wealthy places Jesus!”

Just another lyric? I don’t think so…

The wealthy places of God are communities founded upon heavenly principles for the establishment of our safe keeping. In these (principles) is the greatest love of all. For boundaries, much like gated communities have been set in place. It is true that migration outside of these boundaries is not reccomended, but it also blocks the entrance for the opposition.

Psalm 97:2… Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. … biblecc.com/psalms/97-2.htm - 12k

Yes Lord, Your wealthy places. A place where provision flows like rivers. Where the windows of Heaven are thrown open on a regular basis! Lovely… Right? Then why wont anyone recognize that there is always a divine exchange that takes place when God is about to move?

For instance, Isaiah 61:3 points out the “Oil of Joy For Mourning. A Garment Of Praise For The Spirit of Heaviness and Beauty For Your Ashes”.

How about Unswerving Faith in exchange for Doubt? Love for Hate, Forgiveness for Blame and a Spirit of Giving in Exchange for Lack? That’s right! Your giving sets you free from lack.

‘Giving’ is a spiritual principle that has been safe gaurding the community of God every since Abraham gave a first tithe to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18-20) and Jacob (in the wilderness) promised God a tenth (tithe) of all he had and hoped to have, in exchange for Gods care. (Genesis 28:20-22). God honored his request.

We cry “inflation!”. We grumble, mumble and complain in the face of ‘lack’ when God has already designed a care packet that will insure our well being.

It’s called tithing. Giving in exchange for recieving. Since the beginning of time, in the Garden of Eden, something has been exchanged before God moved in a situation. Cain slew Able over this principle because it gave Able favor in the eyes of God. The overflow of Jacob was so great that he went from His wilderness into Gods Millionaire Wonder over a span of time.

What ‘Wilderness’ are we in? Don’t we want to walk in Gods’ Wealthy Places?

Here are your instructions. I advise you to read them carefully, apply them liberally and walk in them wisely.

Malachi 3:10(American Standard Bible) “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”

This is the will of God.. That you give into His house, (The point of your spiritual nurishment) so that he can bless you.

Let us walk in His Exchange…

A Ready Word

A Ready Word…

Are you equipped with a ready word?

A word that edifies, builds up, imparts…?

Words are powerful instruments that can create, destroy, uplift or trod ones soul.

Proverbs 18:21

… Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And Those who love it will eat its fruit. … biblecc.com/proverbs/18-21.htm - 12k

About two years ago, during the holiday season, I was standing on the bus stop along with a man and several high school students. Being a woman, alone, there are times when I desperately and purposely avoid eye contact. But, Oh No! Not on this excursion. God wasn’t having it.

The man stood, unmoving in my peripheral vision and then deliberately started speaking to me.

As if on cue my manners and a smile went into effect.

"Hello" I replied.

Some small talk about the weather and how long the bus was taking, ensued and then, the set up… "So how is your holiday", he asked.

"Hectic. Yours?"

"Well I’ve got six kids, not all mine though."

"Really?", I asked, still trying to appear intrested.

"Yes. Their mother, who was my woman was killed in a car crash around this time last year. I got the kids…"

There it was… The ‘ushering in’ if you will. The tell tale moment of why they call you ‘Minister’.

My mouth should have parted with words of ministry that made the angels weep. …Instead all I could say was…

"I am so sorry".

Unsaid, these words seem deeply profound in intent, but when spoken, somehow lack the substance of power packed comfort.

The man nodded as if having heard this sentiment a million times, but tolerating it just this one ‘more’ time.

The bus was coming. I turned to him and said, "God loves you." I then extended an invitation to my church and boarded the bus. My bus was not his bus. He stayed behind. We parted physically but to this day He remains a part of my ministry. I carry not only his words but my silence. I am humbled. I am edified, uplifted and imparted unto…

John 11:35 …Jesus wept

It leads me to ponder why Jesus wept… Perhaps because there was nothing else left to say or do…

Stake Your Claim!

Monica Handy/Possessing The Promise asked:

ef=”http://thepromise08.blogspot.com/2008/12/stake-your-claim.html”>

By declaring the Blood of Jesus you are staking your blood brought claim from the heavenly realms into the earth. You are recognizing, accepting and processing Christ, The Cross, The Blood That Ran down and the Son-Ships that went up.(Galatians 4:5 … that he might redeem those under law, that we might receive son-ship.) T hus, our inheritance being founded and firmly established in the earth as Sons and Daughters of the Most High God

Acts 20:32

… “I am now entrusting you to God and to the message of his grace, which is able to build you up and secure for you an inheritance among all who are sanctified. We have a place and a purpose in this earth, Unfortunately, at times there are squatters on our land or perpetrators in our purpose. The kind that don’t recognize our Son-Ship or the deed of crucifix pinned to our repented souls. The Deed reads ‘BLOOD REDEEMED SON-SHIP! VACATE IMMEDIETLY!’ Yes! The Landlord of all landlords has stepped in with feet planted as firmly as The Cross was rooted Deeply. The truth of HIS presence dignifies the rapid response of “Every Knee Bowing” ,

Romans 14:11

… For it is written, “AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD.” … biblecc.com/romans/14-11.htm - 13k Suddenly there is

a clarity like non other… God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten Son… (The Exchange)… That whosoever believeth in HIM(The Redemption) Shall not perish(The Life)… but have everlasting life (The Son-Ship, The Inheritance, The Deed!).
