Excess weight: As an anti-aging measure, adopt a plan to restrict your weight. Excess weight enhances the risk of heart problems and diabetes. Experts say that it is more important to continue with the diet you choose. Discontinuing it takes you back to square one.

Sleep well: Lack of sleep is believed to cause diabetes, high blood pressure and memory problems. ‘Sleep well’, say anti-aging activists and doctors. Keep TVs and other distractions out of your bedrooms.

Sugar excesses:  Excessive sugar intake leads to weight gain, diabetes and heart problems. Limit sugar intake in your diet if you are keen on following the anti-aging regimen. Rely more on fruits and sweet vegetables for your sugar requirements. 

Sun-exposure:  More than a million people in the U.S. get skin cancer every year and about half of them have melanoma, a life threatening disease. Avoid the sun when it is at its brightest and apply sunscreens with an SPF of at least 15 when moving outdoors.

One of the causes of wrinkles is the premature aging of the skin, which can occur due to excessive exposure to UV light. Excessive exposure may even lead to melanoma, a very dangerous form of skin cancer. Thus, ensure that you apply sun block when outdoors and avoid staying under the sun for too many hours.

To overcome and better manage wrinkles, here are some lifestyle tips that you can use to reduce wrinkling of the skin:

Smoking contributes to the wrinkling and premature aging of your skin. As such, it is advisable to cut down your smoking or quit the habit completely to reduce the damage caused to your skin. Doing so will also give you a better overall health and make you feel good about your complete physique.

Having a healthy diet that consists of fresh vegetables and fruits everyday will do wonders for your skin. This is because they contain antioxidants which help to flush out toxins and keeps your skin healthy.

Drinking water and keeping your body hydrated is very important. Otherwise, if your body is dehydrated, wrinkles may start to appear as the skin cells lack water. A minimum of eight glasses of water a day is necessary to keep your body and skin well hydrated.

Sleeping for at least eight hours a day is important for maintaining a healthy body, as well as a healthy skin.

Stress is a major reason why many people have wrinkles. Reducing stress will ensure that there are less visible lines on your face.

Avoid certain kinds of pharmaceutical drugs like Retin A, which are used to treat acne, as well as diuretics and tetracycline antibiotics if possible. This is because they make the skin more sensitive to the sun, thus increasing chances of you getting wrinkles.
